This app never worked very well, but at least it used to work. It would transfer photos to my phone, albeit out of order. However, since the February 2021 update, it's been impossible to connect to my camera. I followed all the FAQ recommendations, but nothing fixed the issue. Back to USB cables for me, I guess.

The application has very limited value to me. I only use the application as a remote shutter release. I haven't found a way to save to the camera in RAW format when using the application. JPEGs may be fine for the point and shoot crowd, but most don't buy a full frame camera to save JPEGs. If I could save RAW to the camera the application would rate a 4+ star.

This app is very basic. I can't download videos to check framing without going back to the camera and switching to share mode. And also reconnecting my phone via share mode. The app should allow for remote recording and downloading without needing to go back to the camera to change into a different mode. It ends up being a hassle to always switch modes

NFC transfers by touching phone to camera body always worked fine, but since the December 2019 update, I can't make it work like before. I'm hoping soon Sony could fix it for troublefree transfers so this app can be useful again. Edit: I found that if I manage to connect then quickly cancel, an orange start link appears that I can press to transfer the selected image ... this doesn't feel like intended behaviour, though. February update still doesn't fix this.

I was getting "Could not shoot" error occasionally when I was trying to take a photo using af-s and aperture priority mode through the app. It took me a while to understand that I have to hold a little longer the shutter button in the app im order to avoid it. My advice to developers is to make the camera take the shot even with the lightest touch/tap.

Great app for importing photos/videos to phone. However, it would be great if it can have there's a way to connect the camera to the phone quickly just to use its GPS coordinates for geotagging while using minimal resources (i.e. The app can run on the background while the phone's in my pocket as I take photos).
