No extra permissions and NO ADS I've only had it a couple days but so far it has worked perfectly. Quick responses. The menu bar on the upper left opens the channel tiles you can scroll through down the side of the screen without leaving the channel. There is no * (asterisk) key. Why does menu say 'old keyboard? BIG CON for me is NO Private Listening option. Developer: I hope you can add that -asap! Thank you for free, no ads, no privacy invasion app. Big thumbs up.

I really like this little app but it's missing an important button, its missing the "asterisk" button. sucks I have to open a different app just to use that key. That key is used for streaming service to add and remove shows and movies from play lists. This button is also is used in the Roku menu options. It's used in Hulu, Netflix and many other streaming services. The original Roku remote has it and many other Roku apps have it but not this app. Romoku isn't complete without this., Almost.

I have tried a lot of apps that did not work with my roku and Vizio TV. This one works just fine. I wish they had earphone capability so I can listen privately when my husband is asleep.

Best Roku app I have found. Better than the remote. Lets me search with my Android phone keyboard, which is so much faster. It would be great if I could view all my channels on my phone instead of loading apps for each one.

Great App! Being able to access Channels from this Remote is Smooth. Sleek Clean Design. No mute button. No volume or channel button. Would make this better.

Can't enter manually. App number key is missing the dots so it keeps saying invalid address entered. And can't find device if it's off but I need a remote to turn it on. This app is worth 0 stars.
