Love this little app. Fits right in with my nerdy aesthetic, the lil critters are cute (even if they're paramecium), and move really well, and the color customization works great. It's been my wallpaper for years now!

Every time I get a new device, I install this wallpaper. It's fun, free, no permissions, and customizable.

OMG...it's like the Twilight Zone! I install the app, all the right things seem to happen but, when I attempt to open it, it's impossible! Whaaaaaaa??? 🤪

not bad at all, excessively basic though. not a lot to see going on but it's something, shame the creator didn't pick less two tone color palette cause you see a ridiculous amount of off white and shades of yellow here, but at the same time its functional (rarer than it should be) and technically live but there's zero reaction to input at all this is an animated but not what I'd call live wallpaper. the best live ones are always controlled by a heat map of touches making them much more dynamic.

Seems to be abandoned at this point :( I have used this live wallpaper for a LONG time. I would love to see it updated wirh possibly more options or features for "critters" and also to support modern high DPI screens and possibly be a little better on battery usage. 3/5 only due to the fact that it hasn't been updated in ages. Otherwise, it'd be a 5/5.

Have been using for years on multiple phones and love it. Can't find a way to change the settings, however, on a Note 8 running Android 8.0.0. This would normally knock off a star but the app is too good.

About this app

SwampWater is a free live wallpaper that creates a living, microscopic world right in your phone. Watch squishy critters swim around and interact with each other in random ways.

SwampWater was written for fun as my first Android project, which is why it's free, with no dodgy permissions. Enjoy.
