This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Click Smart on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Mainly very good. It needs to be restarted every few hours or it stops working and I can't yet make it work with Google assistant but I think this feature is still in development. The click smart hardware is excellent - the light switches look normal and it's much cheaper than the other systems we looked at. It works very well, can be added without rewiring the house and can be added to bit by bit. We're really pleased with it.

Good app function, terrible device range and repeaters offer only marginal range increases. Software updates rarer than unicorns!

About this app

Control and automate your lighting, appliances, blinds, curtains from your Android device. Requires Click Smart - Smart Box

Personalise your installation assigning names and icons for rooms/locations and elements/receivers.

Easy setup guide:
Enables easy pairing of the Android device to the Smart Box. Add rooms and elements (receiver information) assigning name and icon to each. Create scenes, assigning the required elements and commands to undertake from a single press before completing the guide.

In app settings:
• Add and amend the original data.
• Create time schedules for elements
• Backup and restore the Smart Box data
• Change the black background to white

System requirements:
To enable the Android device to communicate with the network the Smart Box (CSB040) is required. The Smart Box connects to the Wi-Fi router using the Ethernet cable supplied.
The Android device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network router as the Smart Box.
To assist with the installation, the manual can be downloaded from www.click-smart.com/tech_specs/csb040.

Installation requirements:
The hexadecimal address for each receiver will be required. To assist in recording the information an installation sheet is provided with the Smart Box or alternatively it can be downloaded from www.click-smart.com/tech_specs/csb040.
