About this app

This is the Rakshak App made in Celestini Project India 2019. This app provides an automatic panic event detection system with an alert system in unfortunate situations using just the phone's microphone. It doesn't record and send any audio to any server or cloud.

✓The app displays various nearby police stations. You can click on the icon to open navigation to that place.
✓The app displays various nearby hospitals.
✓Sends you a notification whenever your friend needs help
✓The app contains APED (Automatic Panic Event Detection) which can detect distress voice and certain keywords.
✓ It can be activated by the "help" keyword when screamed fearfully.
✓ You can choose up to 3 emergency contacts.

About Celestini Project :
Students in the Celestini Program are mentored by Marconi Society Young Scholars who are doing cutting edge research at the world’s leading companies, universities, research organizations, and startups.

Note: If you are looking for using this app daily, this system is not currently 100% reliable and quite new, you may face false positives (that is, sometimes APED detecting panic event itself), we are working towards making it better in every iteration. We will suggest you use more reliable and well-tested systems along with this app for now.
