App gives some degree of control over your thermostat while away from home (provided your thermostat is connected to your wifi), but you can't really go by what the app says when the thermostat itself isn't giving a correct reading of the indoor temps. I use the app mainly for changing pre-set to Away after I've left the house if I forgot to do so before leaving, not much else...

Used to control our Trane heating and AC unit. I especially like the geofence feature that automatically adjusts the temperature when we are away from the house to save money. Web interface allows full visibility and control remotely. Scheduling is easy and fairly intuitive.

Very difficult to program a schedule, which is a key feature. Bad ui, clunky controls, can't schedule the system to just be off so you have to program the whole day if you want to set a schedule for any time of day. Makes it frustrating and and time consuming.

Doesn't give a damn what you set it to, it will just change it to whatever it decides. I have tried setting it to permanent hold and setting schedules. I have spoken to support. It just doesn't work. I set up a schedule where the only 2 temperatures during the week are 78 during the day and 72 at night, but just watched it change in front of my eyes to 75 for no reason.

I definitely recommend using this app. It's awesome & easy to use. I've been using it for a few years now & it's very dependable. It even has options that the thermostat itself doesn't have! It's great to be able to adjust the heat & A/C from my phone. Especially when I'm in bed & get hot/cold. I don't have to get up! Thanks Nexia!

Very cool! How did I live without this?🙂 Seriously though, very informative, easy to use and helpful to watch usage and adjust accordingly. Getting a new unit after 14yrs, I guess things have changed just a bit.
