The app is semi user friendly. But if you're looking to find a pet sitter, it is very frustrating. If you book a visit, and then need to modify it, you can't. The person who will be doing the pet sitting has to modify your OWN reservation. That's stupid imo. There's no chat support, and you can't call in because that's their emergency line.

The app gets the job done, but it can be hard to navigate for some clients. The interface with text messaging helps mitigate this struggle. As a sitter, I find the app pretty good. The payment is pretty seamless and I appreciate the statistics they present. I do wish there was an option to select specific times that I'm not available (on specific days and on a reoccurring basis) since this is my most likely reason for refusing requests. An option to make meet and greet a schedulable item also.

It's a nice concept. They also have emergency support, etc, which is good. A few things that are just absurd: The percentage they take from sitters is just too high. The app has many bugs and no way to report them or any clear assistance. (3rd party sites for background checks that don't work, etc.) No clear way to block crazy people. Every word of a response that they've given me is 100% boilerplate. Yeah, it's probably easier and more lucrative to post on Craigslist.

I've been using this app for several years and it just continues to be disappointing. The messaging doesn't always work, you have to go to the online browser version sometimes because the mobile app messages just don't show up. Do NOT share any screenshots or photos of personal information in the message app. It will show up on the pet profile and that is the only place that it can be removed. You cannot remove it through your profile, your messages, your gallery, etc. Calendar is very clunky.

As a sitter the app is fine. As a customer, the app is terrible. When you search for services it gives you results of sitters who are not available, need more advance notice than the day you are searching on, and are too far away to help. Add to it that every time you choose a sitter to message, you can't return to your search results, you have to restart your search and put all your info in again. I absolutely hate this.

I enjoy the concept of Rover, but the app is very clunky. I constantly receive unnecessary email reminders and there's no way to unsubscribe. For example- I was sick and unavailable to watch a dog, so I made a recommendation to book with a friend of mine who is also on the app. Rover then sent me an email essentially scolding me for not keeping my calendar up to date (who schedules getting sick?). The app would be much more improved if you could unsubscribe, but you can't.
