This is a dope app because based on location, you are provided several bus route options based on whether you want to have a shorter walking distance, shorter travel time and/or least transfers used. The app auto-populates as you progress throughout your journey. Metro is a fool for that...Wow, I honestly expected a redundant app from ya'll, however I'm eating my words. Metro for the longest had thrived on inefficient, menial, and boring activity. In 2021, times sure have changed for Metro.πŸ₯΄

I planned a trip online, but I cannot plan the same trip on this app. A complete waste of time.

Metro trip- official app for Houston bus & trains- not worth your trouble. USE TRANSIT APP INSTEAD. Transit DOES NOT pop up useless notifications that you cannot get rid of AND it is more accurate. Planning a trip? Use your Google maps app instead. Will give (slightly) better travel options. What this app *attempts*, others *do* MUCH better! Do not let Metro employees talk you into thinking this is any good, either. It's not.

Entered beginning and ending addresses twice, to no avail. App is difficult to navigate

Awful & false "real time" tracking. I am sitting at the bus stop to drop off an essential employee. We were sitting here about eight (8) minutes ahead of schedule. The app showed the bus coming down the street and turning the corner to pass the stop in "real time" five (5) minutes ago. No bus has come yet! It's one thing for the time information to be inaccurate, but for the "real time" data to be false shows this app is not tracking the bus AT ALL. This is useless and fake. SHAMEFUL, Metro!!

This app is virtually useless, especially on weekends when it seems that buses come whenever they want to. Real time tracking hasn't been working for as long as I can remember, so it only displays scheduled arrival times. Keep in mind that trains and buses frequently leave early from platforms too!

About this app

METRO is the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, serving the Greater Houston, Texas region with safe, clean, reliable, accessible and friendly public transportation services.

The ONE to Ride regional transit app is a personalized navigation tool that allows you to plan and manage your trip on Local bus, Park & Ride bus, METRORail or METRORapid. It requires a cellular network or wireless connection.

By allowing the Houston METRO Trip Planner (ONE to Ride) app to access your location, you’ll see:
β€’ Nearby bus, rail and METRORapid routes
β€’ Real-time arrival estimates for nearby buses and METRORapid vehicles
β€’ Scheduled arrival times for nearby trains

You can plan your trip by tapping an icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

The app’s unique My Stop technology then connects with thousands of beacons in the METRO service area to deliver notifications or pulse vibrations when you’re approaching your:
β€’ Starting bus stop, METRORail or METRORapid platform
β€’ Transfer point (if applicable)
β€’ Destination bus stop, METRORail or METRORapid platform

Just plan your trip and watch or listen to your phone to monitor progress.
