"Amazing Athens" is the only officially recognized app to one of the most historical cities on the planet.

Developed in partnership with the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism, this application features a rich collection of information, comprehensively covering Athens' most popular sites and attractions.

"Amazing Athens" features:

- Complete sites & venues guide with over 120 places, covering all aspects of the city from historical and cultural sites, best places to shop and eat out as well as beaches and nearby short trips.

- Sites are categorized into sections so that you can quickly navigate to what interests you most. You can also search venues by any relevant text and keep a list of your favorites for quick access.

- Richly detailed information for each site, covering history, major highlights and photos. Look out for the "Why Visit" notes to get a quick tip on what is most important.

- Offline map with live distances to find your way around like a local. No need for WiFi or data plan. You can also get directions via a live map by connecting to one of the many free WiFi hotspots in Athens.
No WiFi connection? No problem. We also include easy to follow text directions.

- Walking tours: Your personal tour guide!
Let the app take you around guided walks in the centre of Athens. Explore monuments and sites in a sequence which brings out the rich history of the city. The guide takes you from point to point with detailed instructions and information.

However, there's no need to keep looking at your device when there's so much to see out there. Simply lock your phone, put in in your pocket and the app will automatically alert you when you get close to a place of interest.
