It's really frustrating how poorly this app communicates with the controller. (And I have the same controller at two different sites.) It has a good WiFi connection, but there's a bug or two that are causing the app to fail to make a connection. Bad programming. Restarting the app often fixes it. Rainbird needs to get motivated to fix it, or release the source code so that we can.

This app works, sometimes. Yes wifi signal is not this apps fault, but I will say that the LNK modules are terrible wifi receivers. This app leaves a lot to be desired from an app used to control/access a smart home (IoT) device. Scheduling is tedious for example. One feature I would love to see implemented is scheduling through a calendar style app similar to setting up meetings in outlook. Also, it would be great to be able to click on active event and see the remaining watering

Pros: Very easy to use and basic. Cons: The GPS tracking mistakenly assumed I was in a colder region after traveling to another state. Rather than the app using the address and zip code I programmed for its actual physical location, the app defaulted to my smartphone GPS location. I turned off GPS permission, but this did not reset from the adjusted watering schedule for freezing temperature. Some degree of learning curve programmability, but that is with any other new automation system.

Would love for the developers to update functionality based on user feedback. I'm using this in the UK, and the weather functionality still only uses 3 characters for the postcode. I did report this to the developers 2 years ago. Would be great to see all characters being used for seasonal adjustment. Then it would much more localised.

If you are in Europe: 1) Wifi channels 12 & 13 are not supported 2) to enable Alexa first set in-app location to the US, pair with Alexa, then change back to your local country. This app provides the minimum functionality & doesnt work well. You cannot define watering programs without choosing a time. Needs an option to enable/disable programs without deleting them. Seasonal adjustment doesnt concider the watering time. E.g. At 4am it is 0°C but the watering is enabled as will be15°C in the day

The app itself is great. Gave 4 stars due to intermittent connectivity issues with the controller. Also, I wish the rain sensor could send more information to the app. Also would be nice if you could pause individual programs.
