This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing HomeControl+ on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

The app screen needs to be reconfigured theirs a lot of the menu screen blank and then everything else is close together at the top of the screen that is not responsive when trying to log in

Good app works well, installed digi sim and euro 46 v10, signals come through as should, panel and app are very easy to set up. Moved over from eaton panels so looking forward to installing more of these 😀

This app really is terrible. Can rarely connect, so you can't set alarms through it. The interface is bland and unintuitive. Notifications are lagged. This has been a problem for a while and the developers have no interest in updating the app to fix these common issues. They also charge for this substandard app after the first year. It's ironic that a firm that is supposed to be providing home security from burglars is stealing from users of this app.

My HomeControl+ app has stopped working at the end of Sept. It authenticates with the cloud but after a timeout period of around 20 seconds it disconnects and says "connection timed out on receive data". On the cloud portal it acknowledges a connection but says "user disconnection" as if i disconnected it. Disappointing. I plan to cancel next years subscription recently paid, delete the app and set up mobile comms, if that doesn't work it will be going in the bin. Pyronix tech support simply say contact a local installer but at £150 a pop I don't think so.

App looks fairly basic but works very well - our installer was knowledgeable and responsive and initial teething troubles with lacking push notifications were quickly fixed with server-side settings. We were also told in advance that there would be an annual fee after the first year. I suspect a lot of the problems reported in reviews here are because the notifications aren't configured correctly on the PyronixCloud side!
