Great potential but how do you reset the av. speed? Only way I found was to mark a camera then erase it- clunky or what, distracting also. Why not reset whenever a saved camera is passed? Works now, but it never alerts you to the first camera in a series. For example, if there are 4 cameras on a saved route the first one is never acknowledged, the remaining 3 are. If you return on the same route then what was previously cam 4, now 1, is not acknowledged now but cam 1, now 4, is- bizarre!!! Poor.

Hi Projexe, Can someone explain the display to me please, I can find no mention of the numbers in the top left of the display area, and they are not always displayed. I am assuming the large digits marked MPH are average MPH ! Thanks. How are you calculating average speed, and what accuracy can be expected? Update :- Thank you Projexe for the full and prompt response. in light of this and your answers, I am upping my rating to five stars. Thanks again.

About this app

In a SPECS or VECTOR Average Speed Camera controlled area?

Slowed down by a truck? Recover time without exceeding average speed.

Overtaking? Get back below average speed before getting caught by the next camera.

Don't rely on another app's old, out of date, badly maintained database of camera locations.

YOU set YOUR camera positions. Just tap anywhere on screen to mark a camera position and reset average speed.

Save YOUR camera locations for regular journeys - and then use the app hands-free! Your average speed resets as you pass your saved camera locations .

Colour coded speed ranges show instantly whether you are near, or over, the average speed.

Turn on sound - then keep eyes totally on the road.

Audible pings denote speed so you know when you're in each speed range, and when you pass a camera.

App can be run in the background while using, say, a directions app. Can be run in multi window view (Android 7 Nougat) or even with screen off to save battery power.

App will sleep, and turn off GPS to save battery if no speed resets done within your preset time.

Great in average speed camera zones (eg. UK M3 smart motorway, M4 Thames Valley, Wales M4 Port Talbot, Scotland A9 Dunblane to Inverness, A465 Head Of The Valleys, A614, A537 Cat & Fiddle, A77 Ayr to Stranraer)
