Does exactly what it says. Fantastic app with a clever user interface/data portrayal. Be sure to check out his other apps, there are MANY useful reference & conversion/equivalency apps (even this one, I use exclusively outside of photography, & not that often... BUT WHEN I NEED IT, it's almost a life saver! ) but the others are great for mechanics, engineers, do-it-yourselfers, etc.. Thank you so much for this, what a fantastic contribution. [ several descriptive help screens would be useful ]

A real nice basic concept. As a photographer I only need the Sun / Moon position at any given time - that is just what this app does - in a most easy to understand interface. Unfortunately the character sizes on my tablet are smaller as what I see in the here showed preview. My old eyes are really stressing to read the data. The Compass indicates 90º off the the East - I use a professional GETAC Z710 tablet with professional GPS so I'm afraid it is a bug. But nevertheless leave 4 stars as I like the concept so much and encourage the maker to keep on improving.

Excellent application for sunrise, clouds and sunset photographer - the best of all applications I have tried in this realm here in Android - a pitty only that you have ceased to continue development In case you nevertheless plan to continue here my needs / suggestions : - Show list of markers with "Goto Marker" option - In the edit marker box show coordinates of the marker with copy/paste option - Make option to re-open on a certain defined position, on a marker or on last position before close - Landscape view does not work - Make a pay version in order to tighten contact between users and developer and give us chance to express our appriciation Features I like most : Date/Time slider - very helpful to find position of shooting sunrise/sunset with desired foreground/background

Works well, could do with an update like adding the ability to show/hide/change opacity of the various elements onscreen.

Well designed and easy to use. Valuable tool for those planning housing orientation and the positioning of solar PV panels. A generous contribution to knowledge by a skilful developer. Thank you.

To access all of the settings options note that the settings can scroll both up and down and side to side.

To use the compass, click the navigator icon on the right, and the heading indicator will turn on. Line up the heading indicator line with any of the sun line, sunrise or sunset lines, and the direction the phone is facing is the direction the sun will be. The compasses in phones are pretty inaccurate, you can usually increase the accuracy by moving the phone around in a figure-eight pattern. You can also gauge the accuracy by pointing the phone towards the sun and observing how far off it is.

Additionally it requires access to location data to show your current position. I do not track or collect any information about users of this app, but I cannot speak for any tracking or collection the Google Maps API does.
