With advances in technology and culture, we see that kids as young as 7 or 8 years of age are either carrying their own smartphones or using their parents phone all the time. Even if as a parent you do not want your child to be spending a lot of time on the phone or to have a smartphone of his or her own, you cannot deny them access to smartphones. Your child would see other kids of his using smartphones and would not be able to understand your point of view in case you deny them a smartphone access. Further, there are a lot of learning apps, videos and other elements present on a smartphone which are useful in the learning of kids.

▌However, parents are always concerned about how much time their children spend on smartphones and what they actually do with smartphones.

The kids locker is a simple application that can help protect both you and your children. The child lock acts in two modes of operation:

✔ Parents Phone: In case your child plays with your phone, you can set the mode of the phone to a parent phone. In this mode of operation, the app works like this:

• Step 1: Select from the settings that it is your phone


• Step 2: Select the apps which you do not want your kid to use


• Step 3: Whenever giving the phone to your kid, just open Kids Locker and select the number of hours for which your kid would have the phone

Kids Locker would keep the phone is child lock mode for the set number of hours and all the apps that you have locked shall not be accessible to your kids.

✔ Kids Phone: In case your child has his or her own smartphone, you can install this app on their phone and ensure that they are able to use certain apps only at the time that you want them to. In this more of operation, the app works like this:

• Step 1: Select the app that you want to restrict usage. For example, in case you want your kid to spend less time watching videos on YouTube, then select YouTube. In the next screen, set the days and times when you want the app to be locked. For example, in case you want your kid to watch YouTube only from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on weekdays; set the lock for 6:00 PM to 4:00 PM on weekdays. You can select different timing for each day


• Step 2: Select all other apps similarly and lock them


• Step 2: The setting is finished and your selected apps would be locked at the times you have selected

▌OverRide Mode: In the settings, you can add your phone number as a parents number. In case you want to unlock an app but, your kid can click on Get Code and you shall get an OTP. Once that OTP is entered into the app, the apps would get unlocked temporarily.

App Permissions

Allows applications to access information about networks.
