This app use to be good until they started charging you to get the features you could use for free. No major improvements to the app to make it worth purchasing the "pro" subscription. The lower quality of the app was understandable because it was free but not worth paying the fee for the same lower quality app. They block out large portions of the map to in the free version.

Even with wifi, gps uploads are iffy. The only reliable way to save your data is to run Strava, and sync with Trailforks. The whole point was to delete Strava! The trail descriptions are great, but the new version only lets you see a designated "local" area. Guess what? I don't need descriptions of my local area! And I'm NOT paying premium membership for an app that doesn't upload half the time. Update- I just reduced my rating to 1 star. Most unreliable app I've had.

What a pitty it's all behind a pay wall now. I used to tell everyone to use the app. Guess not anymore. A monthly sub for the app is ridiculous. The yearly cost is also too high. Uninstalled.

Used to be a great app -- so much so, that I was willing to pay the yearly pro subscription fee. After numerous attempts to give Trailforks my money for a Pro account and numerous glitches that prevented me from doing so, I'll be going back to mountain bike project. To the team: if you're going to make us pay, at least write quality software that's worthy of it's price tag.

Easily the best trail app that I've used. I used the free version for years and find that signing up for the pro version was a no brainer.

You have to pay to access this app now? That is ridiculous for an average user. I don't use this app a lot but when I do it's generally in a new area so a "city sized area" around my house is completely useless. Most apps will keep the basic app functionality free and then charge for more interesting features, such as ride sharing info etc. Also, the mountain bike community spent years tracking all this data... it should be free for the mountain bike community to access. Really disappointing!
