Pediatric essentials is an essential application for doctors working in pediatric word .This application contain some essential data that doctors need every day but difficult to memorize. This app will act as handy for busy doctors who want to avoid hassles of browsing through the pages of books during busy hours. This will specially help intern doctors as they will learn how to calculate fluid requirement of pediatric age group and others important things. This application has following buttons.

Normal vital counts: On click of this button you will get normal ranges of heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure in in different pediatric population.

Fluid: On click of this button you will get two sub buttons. One is ‘fluid requirement’ and another is ‘IV fluid composition’ .On click on “fluid requirement” button you will know how to calculate fluid requirements in pediatric age group. On click on “IV fluid composition” button you will know the composition of different fluids used in pediatric ward.

Blood for exchange transfusion: From this button clicking ,you will know which group of blood you will use for exchange transfusion in the context of baby’s and mother’s blood group.

Tubes and catheters size: Under this button you will get three sub buttons-“ET tube size in less than 6 months old”, ”ET tube size for 6 months and older ”and “Tubes and catheter”. On click on Tubes and catheter button you will know size of various tubes and catheter (Other than ET tube).
Serum creatinine in different ages: Normal serum creatinine value varies between different age groups. This button will help you know this.

Bilirubin range for phototherapy: At which bilirubin level you will start phototherapy, you will learn from this.

Thermo-neutral environment: From this you will know optimum ambient temperature for newborn, which will help them avoid hot or cold stress.

Conversion factors: You will know the constant with which you will multiply a value to convert from one unit to another. With this you will be able to convert value of albumin ,alkaline phosphatase,ammonia,bilirubin , calcium,cholesterol , creatinine,glucose,iron,magnesium,phosphorus,urea,uric acid.
