A neat solution to a common problem. Do you always split the bill equally just because you can't be bothered to work it out properly? The light eaters/drinkers always end up getting a raw deal! This app makes it easy to figure out individual sub-totals in a simple and intuitive way. I particularly like the way you can choose to split certain items (e.g. the tip, a shared bottle, etc.) evenly while still maintaining separate sub-totals for each person. Well thought-out and implemented.

About this app

Pass The Bill (Free version) helps you share a bill [split the bill, split the check] fairly between parties of up to 5 in a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or anywhere. No more writing down and adding up – it's all there on screen and can be changed as needed. This is no ordinary calculator: it works by adding up each person's items showing amounts that can be edited and added to. If you hit a wrong number just change it.

A tip can be added as a percentage or a fixed amount (or both) and will be added automatically to each person and re-totalled.

There are examples you can use to see how easily it works and you can edit these for practice. Splitting the bill using Pass The Bill is so simple you'll be up and running in seconds.

If your group is larger than 5 you can upgrade to Pass The Bill Premium, which works for groups of any size up to 5000 (but you'll probably not try to split that bill ;-)

If you are managing a bar, restaurant or any other eatery where customers spend ages working out how to divide the bill to share the cost fairly, you might find that Pass the Bill helps you get more covers and more happy customers.

Pass the Bill bill is designed for phones and tablets.

Note:
This app was originally called Parse The Bill. The word parse is not a misspelling of pass, it is used here to show that the calculation is broken down into its component parts of numbers and text. Parsing the bill is what happens internally but what the user sees is a fairly divided bill showing what each person owes and what the total amount is.
