Using BlueStacks

works great, however on my new phone the app seems to crash after analyzing about half the images from my sd card making it impossible to use, however it works flawlessly on my older device and saves me a bunch of time and energy

Most through app! I downloaded 8 apps in all and this one found hundreds and the others with 4 stars could only find a dozen or so. This app will find similar images even if they are rotated, resized, different colored(filters), and so on. It's simply the best I've ever used and I've searched far and wide.

Unfortunately it doesn't support HEIC images. I'm sure it works great with older devices, but new phones that use HEIC will not work... The app doesn't detect the photos at all! Additionally, when looking between two duplicates, there is a scroll animation when you click between the photos. This is a problem because you can't see which photo is better due to the sliding animation.

About this app

PicaDup is specialized in research of sufficiently similar images to be considered as duplicates. The useless images can then be deleted to save space on your device and/or SD card.

This application can delete photos on the SD Card for the Android Lollipop version and above.

Select one or more directories on your mobile and PicaDup will search for you all the pictures with the same views or subjects. Once the analysis is complete, it is possible to delete images in each group found.

This completely free application has no restrictions.

PicaDup incorporates advanced algorithms and features from the Panaustick application from the same author (http://en.panaustik.com). Hence it does not give false positives. It can handle a large number of images quickly. It detects duplicates even if the images are not the same size, have a different orientation or exposure, or are more or less sharp...

At the first run, images are scanned and analyzes are saved which can take some time. Then next runs are much faster.
