Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Seaways on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

Using android phone. Not able to get new issue of seaways in app monthly. Have to uninstall and re-install the app every month in order to get the latest issue.

In Berlin for new year but January Seaways at my fingertips with this fabulous new app. Well done the Nautical Institute.

About this app

The Seaways app is primarily designed for members of The Nautical Institute but also includes features that will appeal to the wider maritime community.

Members can use the app to catch up on the latest industry thinking through reading the Institute's monthly technical journal Seaways. They can also access recordings of the Institute's popular technical webinars and update their continuing professional development record.

Also included within the app is The Navigator, the Institute's free magazine that aims to inspire professionalism in young marine navigators. Users can browse not only the current issue but all back issues as well. 

The app also provides a jobs board together with all the latest news and events from The Nautical Institute.
