I read on here somewhere that if access your camera on your home network it doesn't use internet data, but mine has and I have only accessed it through my home router from home. Is this true? If so how did I us so much data? I did try setup and allow anywhere access but I never did use access from other places, so is that setting why it used so much? Or why has it done this? And the control doesn't always behave as necessary, could be better.

Unfortunately, despite many good reviews. It seems that the app flat out does not work for some people including myself. It can't add cameras because it can't detect that you are indeed connected to a WIFI network. The fact that Owlr hasn't responded to the reviews saying this, as they have with other reviews, tells me they don't know what's going on.

Hi, it looks like you read the reviews. Thanks for that. Your App is a 5 Star app. It is. But with your last revision suddenly the camera rotates to landscape and there is no way to stop it even though my phone is locked in portrait. I passionately HATE landscape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why I had to knock 2 stars off for your regressive update. Please at least allow the user to choose Portrait or not.

I don't care about alarms or emails for any advanced features, I have all that security with other programs. I needed something that I could quickly open up the camera and see what's happening making this the perfect companion app for my amcrest camera. I can quickly open the app and see what's going on without having to wait until the action is over before the app loads.

The developers of OWLR Amcrest and other makes and models deserve an AMAZING pat on the back. It's a super quick and easy setup, BUT with super-simple handholding and the user interface is awesome. This is a much nicer app than the manufacturer gave. The damn thing just works with little fuss involved. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your hard work on the apps and the continued code updates!
