Cameras would not appear on my tv, or on my android. Only intermittently on the tv. I got some help from the tech support, and they worked for a day. Then I replaced the power cord for the cameras. They work great at home, however I still can't get them on my phone. I see a lot of replies from Night Owl to contact them for more help. How about they just fix the bloody app. It's definitely a problem on Night Owl's end. Quit apologizing and fix it.

App was good before updates. Now the app only works for a couple of days out of the week, if that. I really hope they fix this issue. It keeps say device not connected when it is, i have cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled app several times and it will work all of sudden and then nothing. I did everything the vendor mentioned below and it worked for a week. It went back to device not connected, connection failed. I really would like to have a functional app at least 90% of the time.

Have been working with this app for three or more years with minimal concerns. Now, major problem! APP is not dependable, sometimes the camera view comes in clear and the next time the DVR message is "unconnected" I've cleared the app cache, reinstalled, rebooted. Very frustrated. Side note: APP works sometimes when on the same network as DVR, this is not helpful at all, since I need camera views when I am away from home not at home! Customer Service and APP designers, please help!

Meh when it works. On newer android versions, I keep having to uninstall when it just stops working. Video will just sit with spinning circle and never load. Killing the app isn't enough to fix. Uninstall and reinstall works right away. DEV keeps saying clear app data, but fails to realize adding devices back is difficult if you are away. Been problematic for months now. Fix it already.

Updated below... It works but kills battery on new phone with Android 8.0...and the developer edits my review! Updated Sep 19, after a year without the app, and now running Android 9.0, I figured out why it drains the battery...must restrict permissions, so battery cant run in background when app isn't open. Update 3, Jan 20, since I contacted tech support, they helped with dvr settings that fixed the problem. I'll change from 3 to 4 stars.

This app system sucks. Just like everyone else here, it only works whenever it wants to!. I've been trying to connect to it for the past 3 hours now to monitor my package that shows up today and still nothing. I've had this issue since I bought it brand new about 2 or 3 years ago. Horrible system! I urge you to purchase a different brand!
