This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Portland Transit TriMet Live on PC Windows and Mac.

I wish the app would show the direction of the bus when you at a bus stop that way it's possible to know your not going in the wrong direction... Sorry complex I guess.

This app is phenomenal! Allows for you to view realtime bus arrivals at the stops nearest to you on a map. Also allows for 'Maps' style of routing and route planning. Can view bus schedules. Displays visual routes for all bus routes at selected stop on maps, very helpful. Allowed me to learn the routes and take better paths to the same destination, shaving off 15 minutes each way! I frequently hop off a bus enroute to take MAX that is ahead of schedule or that other 'Maps' have failed to suggest

So helpful! It's great to coordinate connecting routes and see what's coming in the next few minutes - usually Google Maps won't show them. It's allowed me to snag a bus with plenty of time when other apps have said I would have to wait for half an hour. TriMet Live helps me save time and keep from freezing at the bus stop!

The Trip planner only lets you plan same-day trips. So if it's 7 p.m. and you want plan a trip starting at 7 a.m. the next morning, it throws an error "Adusted time must be later than the current time." Plus, it's $4.99 to remove the ads.

I'm confused. When I select Online Schedules the list displays within the app. When I select Offline Schedules the app takes me to the TriMet website. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Portland Oregon's best and most convenient TriMet real-time transit schedules app!
Portland TriMet Live uses your rough GPS location to get the times of your closest favorite Portland TriMet transit bus, train and streetcar stops, showing you the stop you care about when you care about it. It will also show your the times of the closest stop to you, regardless of favorite or not.

Portland TriMet Live allows you to:

• Plan your trip with the Trip Planner which shows you which buses to take to get where you need to go!
• Search by Portland TriMet schedule - bus - direction - stop location!
• Search offline bus schedules!

• Add favorite transit stops!
