Brilliant app.. Very useful. Just what i was looking for.. Only suggestion to make it better is to be able to putthe same value in every day without manualy adding them in.. Also a friend would love this on his iphone *edit* thank you for listening to my feedback and adding the features to the app. This is an all round brilliant app which more people would use if they knew it existed

Simple to use and effective for close approximations. I suggest an hourly or time of day option.

Too bad it doesn't calculate multiple doses in a day

Half-Life Calculator For Meds 3.5.1
2023-02-20 / 1.7 MB / Android 5.1+

About this app

Calculate the exponential decay of drugs in the human body and other things.
You can add multiple dosages at different times to see how your meds accumulate in the blood plasma.
The elimination half-life is very useful to determine how frequent a drug has to be taken to keep its level steady.
Seeing how much the level fluctuates can help you plan your day better.
A steady serum concentration can also help keep the dose as low as possible.
💊
Some meds have to be taken for weeks before they reach an optimal plasma level.
Simulate different scenarios and try different loading doses.
Discontinuing medication can also be very hard.
Decreasing the dosage too fast can cause withdrawl symptoms but decreasing it too slow can keep you suffering from the drugs side effects unnecessarily long.
Depending on the pills, it could take your liver, kidneys and intestines weeks to remove them completely from your body.
Looking at the curve can help you find the right speed.
💊
Of course, the elimination of a drug is not only based on it's biological half-life.
The decay constant is always just an approximation and everybody has a different metabolic rate.
Please talk to a doctor or pharmacist before adjusting your dosage.
💊
The app can be used not only in medicine, pharmacology and chemistry but also in nuclear physics to calculate the radioactive decay of isotopes.
In fact, the half-life formula can be used for far more things.
For example, guess how long water stays in your body!
💊

New features

+ A new "hour mode" for people that take multiple pills a day.
+ A list of half-life examples including some common drugs and radioactive nuclides.
