The problem was on my side, the app. works great 👍👌. It seems I need to be retrained in the spring.. called tech help had me Bach on track in no time. Very sorry for the bad review this Kesteral is a must have for long range shooters.

Thus far the ballistic predictions are pretty close, but not dead on for my 22lr shots out past 100yds. You only seem to be able to access the MV Temp data table from the App, not the unit. You can only access the DSF table from the unit, not the App. Thus you have to save and transfer gun/bullet data in the propper order to get it to save the data and update these factors properly. Both need to be accessible from App and Unit.

Hornady 4dof version has issues. Cant create profiles with bullets not in 4dof library. Cant migrate anything from Hornady 4dof app to the Hornady 4dog kestrel, very frustrating to start over. Overall looks like the new Hornady versions of app and firmware were rushed to market.

i regularly shoot 1000m. I use my Kestrel before i send a round down range. Because of Kestrel i am often dead on first shot. Saves on ammo.

Got Elite unit for 22LR. Weather makes a big difference at long range. Works well for CF too.

Great for larger calibers... spot on for 6mm Creedmoor.. not even close for .22LR..
