This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing RxLocal on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

You can include all family members and all medications taken by each member. Easy online refills. Notification when scripts are ready to be picked up. Also you can set up a reminder to be reminded when to take your medicine. Great app

Love the convenience! Everything at my fingertips. App is easy to understand and navigate. Paired with the best pharmacy makes this a win-win! Edit: That was a tame review. This app is FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Cannot change notifications setting. Notifications are allowed on my phone settings but app keeps saying i need to change in app settings. Whrn i do this the changes are not applied or saved. This is super frustrating!

This app used to be amazing. There weren't useless pages, but now there are lots of filler screens. And worse, refills used to be VERY conveniently laid out in groups showing if they could be refilled, if it was still too early, or a doctor needed to be contacted for another fill. Now it's just a big blob of meds. I can still find that info, but I have to dig for it, so not covenvenient anymore. Some info was added back in, but not the refill-able part. It definitely hasn't fixed the problem.

Update - app still sucks. I feel like it's one step forward and two steps back anytime there is an update. Why do I have to go through like 6 screens to refill a script? Everything in this app takes at least twice as long and twice as many clicks as it should. And when I finally get to the end (I assume), it won't submit because it says I need to schedule pickup at least one day in the future (I selected the day after tomorrow).

App keeps telling me my pharmacy does not have my phone number but it does. Also it has failed many times to send notifications to my phone that my pharmacy has sent a message. My pharmacy has been unable to get them to fix this. Tried to talk to someone at Pioneer RX who wrote the software, but they will only talk to a pharmacy. They won't talk to users of their software.

RxLocal is an easy-to-use app that allows pharmacy customers to manage their entire family’s prescriptions, communicate with the pharmacy via secure messages, order refills, set medication reminders, and find pharmacy location information.

Creating an account is easy. Just enter your last name and date of birth, along with any existing prescription number. Then, simply add all of your family members to your account for quick and easy access to all of their prescriptions.

RxLocal is a free app for Android users. There is no charge to download or use the app.
