About this app

Use the SENSIT Parking License app to digitally distribute, activate and manage electronic parking licenses for the identification of vehicles and the legitimate use of designated parking bays. The SENSIT Parking License app for smartphones performs in a similar way as Nedap’s physical onboard EPL device (Electronic Parking License). The app enables the SENSIT system to identify and localize vehicles and consequently detect abuse of parking bays for designated users. As soon as you park, one button press is sufficient to activate the app and have it connect to the SENSIT server. Using GPS coordinates and smart analysis of SENSIT events, the location of the vehicle is identified. In the SENSIT server, parking bays can be designated to specific audiences, like permit holders, handicapped people, VIP’s, licensed taxis or suppliers, etc. User-friendly widgets in the SENSIT administrator GUI are available to easily detect unauthorized parking.

Besides using the app as an electronic license, it can also be used to find back your car. A map is used to display the location of your parked car. The functionality of the app can easily be integrated with third party apps and systems. This opens up a world of opportunities:

• The electronic license can be integrated in app for mobile payment.
• Online reservation systems can use the electronic license to verify the identity.
• Loading zones in cities can be monitored effectively.
• The license can be integrated in navigation apps and systems.
• Monitoring of licensed taxis that park and wait at passenger pickup areas.

For more information visit Nedap’s website or contact us.

Note: the app makes use of the phone’s GPS function. Although we have optimized the app for GPS usage, this function might decrease the phone’s battery life.
