About this app

"Diabetes along with its chronic complications is a major global health issue. According to International Diabetes Federation (IDF), there are over 7 Million people with diabetes in Pakistan. Diabetic Foot is one of the major complications of Diabetes which increases the risk of amputations, morbidity, mortality and cost of management. With our resource constraints, we believe the nation cannot afford to have such a devastating health problem. Preventive strategies are the cornerstone to cope with the diabetic foot problem. Awareness and education is the key for prevention of such an overwhelming issue. To prevent amputations in people with diabetes, we need to educate the nation and promote awareness. In this context National Association of Diabetes Educators of Pakistan (NADEP) and Pakistan Working Group on the Diabetic Foot (PWGDF) are organizing the “NADEP DIABETES FOOT CON 2018” on 10th – 12th August, 2018 at PC Hotel, Lahore in collaboration with Baqai Institute of Diabetelogy and Endocrinology (BIDE) under the theme “SAVING FEET” IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDELINES IN CLINICAL PRACTICE.
