This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing On-Screen Button (Ads Free) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

I've been using this app for couple of years now. It saves me from over-stabbing the actual Home button. But I still do get occasions when it disappears from the home screens when I'm flicking through the various home screens. I also would like to know how to ensure it returns to the MAIN HOMESCREEN and not any other homescreens I have on my phone. Thanks!

Very good, in fact a wonderful idea and with every cent. Took me a while to find the perfect location for the button which is now at the bottomleft of the screen. It is very small with the plenty of padding. I have the menu coming up from the bottom which looks and functions the way I like the best.

My Rezound suffers from a "Soft Keys Not Responding" issue. Check out your phone for a possible problem on the web. 2 1/2 months to go on my phone contract, provider sending emails for new phones I may like, here we go again. hmmm. Just sayin. On-Screen Button made my phone usable again, gonna keep it.

Version 2.0: After fixing the issue with "App not from Google Play Store", now it's all working as expected. Cheap price for such a wonderful work here. Keep it up guys.

About this app

On-Screen Button (OSB) - A new way to maximize usage of Android’s Multi-tasking.

This app enables you to create a shortcut on your mobile screen for quick access to your homepage or for switching off the mobile screen, regardless of whichever app you are using at that moment. Moreover, OSB helps you create a list of your favourite apps for quick access without the need to return to your homepage and search for them in the app list. Additionally, similar to long-clicking the Home button, you can use OSB to open recently used apps.

There are five arrangements for your toolbar and favourite app list:
- a dialog in the middle of the screen
- a vertical toolbar on the left of the screen
- a vertical toolbar on the right of the screen
- horizontal toolbar at the bottom of the screen
- horizontal toolbar on top of the screen

And what's new? it's MiniHome feature, that give you more freedom with 5 pages of Homescreen alike, for you to add more widgets, place more shortcuts, for faster access to all applications you need.

This OSB button can be moved to any position on the mobile screen to avoid hindrance to your daily actions.
Note: To uninstall the app, open Setting –> Security –> Device administrator. Make sure the app OSB is unchecked before proceeding with the uninstallation. Nonetheless, we hope that you will never get to use this tip :)
