This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing My Travel Buddy on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Great concept! I was not able to set a countdown or modify my itinerary. But I think once those bugs get worked out it will be a very useful app!

About this app

My Travel Buddy is a multi-purpose travel tool that allows you to translate text and photos to make your foreign travel easier. Take a picture of a menu or even a street sign and it will be translated in real time.

Translation of a photo to English is a simple process. Go to the photo-translation portion of the app, take a picture of the item you need translated and wait. The text will be come back transposed with graphical overlays. This allows you to see not only the original text but the translated text in English.

My Travel Buddy also lets you keep track of your travel itinerary by tracking the key dates of your trip, your flight status and other relevant information. When you enter your flight information, we'll be able to help you be kept up to date on changes. Did your gate change? Or perhaps the flight has been delayed? Forty-Eight hours from the flight time you'll be able to know this new information.

My Travel Buddy also lets you translate text from English to other languages and not only show the translation but speak it. Simply enter the phrase in English, select the language of your choosing and press submit. The text will be translated and displayed in the new language in addition to saying it through your speakers.

My Travel Buddy finally has a countdown to help you remember when your up coming trip. A nice simple countdown clock lets you have something to look forward to.
