It's a good and convenient way to update your details, but it took a while to get it to accept my second photo. This could have been because I had my glasses on. When I removed them, it was accepted. Having said that, it was fine with my first photo with my glasses. I would recommend it simply because I used to have to drive to my nearest WU office which was 40 minutes from my home, so this is much more convenient. Just a shame it took so long to accept my photo.

Terrible experience. App is difficult to use and failed totally multiple time when uploading a scan of my Australian passport. ADSL speed here (for Wifi) is 7 MB/sec and LTE mobile is 22MB/sec. Used Samsung Galaxy S9. OS updated this week. Now I have to go back to paper and complain to my Pension Trustees. The developers of this app should be fired. They have obviously done no field testing with users.

This is the way to go. Secure way of verification, no hassle with copies of IDs in the post. And near instant approval. The passport needs to be scanned in good light (as mentioned). Two selfies are taken, one still and one while slowly blinking. A good process to verify that you're not a photograph. Just very handy to do it this way and then have full easy access to your pension details.

The inordinately finiky selfie was very frustrating to the point I almost gave up. Firstly, I had to wear my reading glasses to see the text. I was really puzzled why it kept telling me it couldn't see my face in the oval when clearly it was. The band around the oval would occasionally flicker green but too quick to allow me to click OK. I tried it indoors and the outdoors, Turing 360 degrees to try and get it to stay green. Needs to be far more forgiving or take a selfie on your phone

Awful app. Keeps giving an error message after successfully scanning passport. I have a stable internet connection so the problem isn't at my end. It wont even recognize my French driving licence at all! Will the developers pay to get my paper copy authorised? I thought not. Going to recommend that my pension company drop this app. Half hour of my life I'm not getting back. Edit: turns out you need min 13mbps internet connection to upload photos!!!

The only problem I had was scanning my passport. I think the problem was I couldn't keep my phone perfectly still whilst scanning was in progress. I prefer this to the paper method and it would be good if this verification method could be used by all pension providers, including the state pension.
