About this app

Created to augment any existing navigation apps, Lucid Compass was originally conceived to show the current direction of movement in the notification bar. It does this based on GPS positions* rather than any internal compass and can display as a direction, bearing, or compass rose initials.

The main display shows this in large print, and additionally the overall bearing of the journey since pressing "START" and the direct distance. A progress bar shows how far there is remaining to move** for the next update.

NOTE - this needs GPS location permission to function. The app should ask for this on install. If it does not for some reason, please check the settings afterwards and enable.

* GPS accuracy needs to be 10m accuracy or better
** away from the previous point
