About Jennie Kim:
Jennie Kim (Hangul: 김제니; born January 16, 1996), also known by the mononym Jennie, is a South Korean rapper, singer and model. She debuted as the main rapper and vocalist of girl group Blackpink in August 2016, under YG Entertainment.

Jennie Kim was born on January 16, 1996, in Seoul, South Korea. At the age of 9, she was sent abroad to study at ACG Parnell College in New Zealand. In 2006, she appeared in the MBC special documentary "English, Must Change to Survive" and spoke about her experiences with the language and her life in New Zealand.[4] In 2010, she moved back to South Korea and participated in an audition held by YG Entertainment, later successfully joining the label as a trainee.

In 2012, she featured on labelmate Lee Hi's song Special and made an appearance in Big Bang's G-Dragon's music video That XX. In 2013, she featured on G-Dragon's song Black and GG Be by Seungri.
