تدور أحداث المسلسل تدور أحداث المسلسل حول أحد أحياء مدينة إسطنبول بل ومن أكثرها خطورة.،القانون الذي يُطبق على حي الحفرة مفروض من قِبل عائلة كوتشوفا ،حيث لا يمكن النقاش أو المجادلة في هذه القوانين ،من أهم ما تم فرضه على سكان هذا الحي هو عدم المتاجرة بالمدخرات أبداً ،في حال تم الخروج عن هذا القانون يطبق العقاب مباشرة

في مسلسل الحفره الجزء الرابع : ياماش (أراس بولوت إينيملي) هو الابن الأصغر لعائلة "كوشوفالي" ترك حيه وعائلته وراءه وقرر أن يسافر بعيدًا ليبدأ حياة جديدة، تعرف ياماش على فتاة جميلة وأحبها وقرر عرض الزواج عليها ليتفاجأ بقدوم والدته إليه واخباره إن عليه العودة إلى الحفرة لأنها بحاجة إليه ويترك زوجته وحبيبته وحدها ويعود إلى الحفرة لتبدأ بعدها المغامرات والمؤامرات للاستيلاء على الحفرة. حيث أن إدريس وهو أبو ياماش مالك الحفرة التي شعارها (الحفرة بيتنا وإدريس أبونا) حيث أن الابن الأكبر لإدريس كهرمان يموت بسبب هجوم عليه عندما كان مع أخيه سليم، من قبل فارتولو سعد الدين وايضا سليم خائن يعمل لصالح فارتولو. يعلم ياماش بأن لدى أباه ابن غير شرعي حي إسمه صالح وفي الحقيقية هو فارتولو فيبحث عنه لكي يجده بينما الأم سلطان زوجة إدريس كوشفالي تعيقه لأنها ضليعه بإخفائه يبدأ ياماش في البحث عن الخائن لكن لا يعرف أنه سليم أخوه، وأما إدريس يصاب بجلطه عند موت إبنه كهرمان ثم يتعافى منها ويوكل إبنه ياماش بحماية الحفرة والاحداث تبدأ بعد ذلك في مواجهة فارتولو سعد الدين الذي جاء لينتقم وبايكال الذي يسعى للاستيلاء على الحي مع ابنائه ايمراه وناظم.
