You need to change moving direction of Batumi-Tbilisi train because train go back to Tbilisi and chairs position is backwards. For example I took seat 74 Batumi-Tbilisi. When buying a ticket seat is located in the direction of motion. In fact, it is located opposite to moving direction. The train goes from Tbilisi by car number 1 ahead, and from Batumi by car number 3 ahead. no one turns the train.
