About this app

The VR Guide to New York City app is a location based app that tells the user their relative location to the famous attractions in New York and Brooklyn. The locations are listed, as the crow flies, from nearest to furthest, based on proximity. So you will know when you are in SoHo, how far you are from Trump SoHo, MSG, Peter Lugers, Carnegie Hall, etc, as well as all of the other main attractions in the city.

Each location is described in more detail when the user clicks through and has a live Google map which will direct the user to the location, as well as a virtual reality description of the attraction.

This is the free version with ads, but there is registration or location sharing.

Michelin 2 and 3 star restaurants, music venues, hotels, parks, iconic shops, museums and a lot more are profiled in the app. You can see what they are all like inside and outside before you go.

We put LaGuardia and JFK in for your reference, as well as Yankee Stadium and Citi Field; but the guide is focused on Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The main idea is that the user will have a real time update as to where they are in relation to all the major things in Manhattan and Brooklyn as well as a simulation.

Let us know if you think we missed anything. We'll be adding to it and updating map locations periodically.
