My experience with Blue Bikes has been good thus far. I had one incident where a bike wouldn't dock and the customer service rep was really helpful and patient. I enjoy being able to ride through the city and get exercise at the same time.

Very functional app for a very functional service. I can rely on the app to tell me how many bikes are left at the station by my house. I sometimes book. It's functional, it's clean, and it's light. A must-have in Boston.

Convenient, intuitive and cost-effective. Forget about public transport or rideshare. This is hands down the best way to get around Boston. Get yourself a monthly or yearly membership and you won't regret it. My only gripe: sometimes the app will claim that there are no bikes in a dock, when in fact there are. Then it won't let you unlock them. Please fix this!

Absolutely horrendous experience with this product. Stations are constantly offline, causing bikes rentals to stay "open" and requiring me to call customer service every time. 6ish times in fewer months.Once the bike I'd used was rented from a station while it was offline and it went missing. Showed up about a month later across the city, but not before multiple calls in which Bluebikes customer service made sure I knew I was liable for $1200 of it didn't turn up. Absolute trash service.

About this app

Bluebikes is metro-Boston’s public bike share system. With thousands of bikes available 24/7 at hundreds of stations throughout Metro-Boston, Bluebikes is one of the most popular bike shares in the country.

Use the app to find your closest station and purchase a pass. Then unlock one of Bluebikes' safe, sturdy, easy to ride bikes, and get riding right away. When you’re done riding, simply return the bike to an available dock at any station in the network. The app will show you all station locations, with real-time bike and dock availability, and you can save your favorites for later reference. Tap a station pin or location and the app will show you the best route to get there.

Ideal for one-way trips, commutes to work or school, running errands, meeting friends for dinner, going to a game, or just cruising around metro-Boston to see the sights. All trips under 45 minutes are included for members (the app will track your time for you). Take as many rides as you want during the term of your pass.

Enjoy the ride!
