Works great with v1 bridge and any gen bulbs, but both bridge and bulbs or just bridge must encounter power outage (this is a kind of power on schedule). This app is a compromise between past behavior of bulbs (full power on start) and "power on" feature added by Philips on Dec 2018, that stores state in the bulb itself (however not available for v1 users, PLEASE TRY REVERSE ENGINEERING THAT). With HPI bulbs will still start at full power, but dim/go off immediately when bridge becomes ready.

Once this work, but not anymore..maybe because Philips update, update had new power behaviour, but only work on gen 3 bulb.. The gen 2, used to work with your apps, now not anymore, anyway thanks..

Sorry, but I can't get this to work at all. It just keeps starting in its default white no matter the setting or how long you wait. There seem to be an issue with the latest Hue bridges and lamps. I was really looking forward to this. :(

It worked fine only once. It keeps starting to it's default.

Hue light bulbs have a safety setting which I find annoying. After a power failure, their bulbs turn themselves on when the power is restored.. This is a problem for me, since I travel a lot and am in an area that seems to have more than it's share of power outages. On several occasions I would return home to find all of my lights on at full power. I installed this APP specifically to take advantage of the Power Cycle Reset function, which allows you to toggle a feature that restores your Hue lights to the state they were in at the time of a power failure. This means that if the bulbs are "off" at the time of a power failure, the system would turn them off again after the power was restored. I activated the feature and "Retain Last State", and simulated a power failure by shutting off power to the house at the main power panel. The power came back up and the lights came on, but when the Hue Bridge rebooted, all of the Hue lights turned off! Perfect. Problem solved. Thank You.
