It times well. But the ticking is annoying as hell and there's no way to turn it off.

It really works. Adjusts for egg size, temperature and best of all, five different types of yolk. The images of egg yolks are helpful. The only weakness are the sliders for altering grams and degrees. These are difficult to get right even with small fingers. Plus and minus buttons would be better. The app already has these for altering the altitude so it shouldn't be too difficult to copy them. With that feature I would willingly buy the pro version.

I LOVE THIS APP!! I always use this to make my son the perfect dippy egg and soldiers and it's never let me down, perfect every single time! I could never get them right before this app, in fact that's how I found it and I'm very glad I did. I like the tips which have recently been added too, it's a great update. Thank you very very much!

So, for me, it's perfect! because I like soft boiled eggs with soft semi liquid middles. I followed the instructions,(EDIT: I followed the instructions for a hard boiled egg!!) but my yolk came out runny. For someone who likes hard boiled eggs, this app may not be a great choice.
