Update 10 Jan 2024: Android auto is still extremely buggy. I've checked with the latest Mappls app and KWID, Kicks and Seltos vehicles and all have the same problem. The app on Android Auto does use GPS but when I "Let's Start" the navigation, it seems as if it loses the signal. The arrow stays fixed at starting position and doesn't move even if the vehicle is moving. Waze/GMaps are all working perfectly fine.

I tried Mappls for 100 kms from Sasthamkotta to Kovallam. The maps UI is beautiful and has nice features of 3d lane and speed bump notification. I liked the over speed limit notification as well. But I was really annoyed with the number of silly notifications. Every 100m it was throwing the "Sharp Curve Ahead" notification even on normal curves. It was making beeps every few seconds for no reason, I had to check what is going wrong. It was inaccurate in taking the right roads. Work in progress!!

Tried with Android Auto. Didn't even load. When I tried to open the app, it asked me to login on phone. After logging in, disconnect from car and update, no option to dismiss. After the forced update, reconnected to car via USB and tried opening the app on the Android Auto system. "Android Auto has experienced an error". Happens only with this app. All other compatible apps work well with Android Auto.

So far so good, just need some improvements such as: 1. If there are two lanes on the road, and when we check the 360° feature on any route of a particular lane, it shows the view of the other lane, and when trying to switch it, nothing happens. 2. The app is a bit laggy, and also consuming a lot of phone battery, make it smooth as much as possible, so that People using the app won't face such issues. 3. Add a reward or points based program, so People can help contributing by adding places.

It's very good compared to Google Earth and Google maps but only one issue I faced is when I take a wrong route it takes like a while to show up not letting me know if I'm taking a wrong turn which effects the complete navigation but this is only a small thing I haven't faced any issue but loved the roads picture that poops up in diverted lans plus an Indian product let's try to build and support it's thanks mappls

This is very promising app with lots of functionalities and scope. This is definitely better than traditional one. But one defect - The features DON'T WORK THE INTENDED WAY. To start, map starts at very zoom out level that for a driver it's not visible at all while driving. If we zoom in navigation goes off. Often navigation stops on own. The traffic situation is often untrue. I would still give one more week to experiment. Hoping for best
