Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DriveMate: Car Security on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. The system is simply worthless. I am using this device for nearly one year. My choice was primarily because it can easily be fitted into the OBD port. My experience with this system: When you open the application on your mobile, it will indicate the last location where you left last time. It will not update the location data on opening the app instantly. Say, you used the app last Monday 6pm. Next time you open the app on Tuesday 4pm. It will show 22 hours old data. Most nasty part is it takes very long time (totally unpredictable ) to update the data. No, it’s not because of GPRS data issue but something else. In emergency situations ( that happens & apprehending emergency could happen I opted for this device) it wouldn’t help you at all. No way to can force to update location. User app interface could have been much better. It’s an old school design and not groomed for modern users. Coming to map interface, it’s need to go a long way to compete with others. It uses some useless algorithm to show the nearest landmark which may be 5KM away &you find that only when you zoom. Recommend not to buy this product.
