GPS Fuel Log 1.88

About this app

The application is not a simple fuel log, it is targeted to companies using fuel cards or demanding more data when their employees are buying gas. The convenience of the fuel card is overshadowed by the users who are using it for their personal use; businesses are trying to curb the habit but there is no easy with a fleet of different vehicles.

When a driver refuels he is asked to fill-up an entry form where several elements have to be recorded:

1) automatically the GPS location is detected and the address is queried and added to the record along with the date&time
2) the price/liter or price/gallon has to be manually entered
3) the total price for fuel has to be manually entered
4) A PHOTO of the receipt where the date&time along with address and information about the fuel price and quantity has to be taken. Here the information has to be the same as the one collected by the GPS data (regarding the location and date&time). Also, the information has to be the same as the one entered manually about the fuel price per unit and total amount spent on fuel.
5) A PHOTO of the odometer has to be taken. The odometer value on the form has to coincide with the one visible in the shot

The application has other features which I will enumerate:

1) operates with liter/US gallons/UK gallons
2) creates reports and draws charts for fuel consumption for weeks, months or defined periods of time
3) offers the possibility to export data in CSV/HTML format along with the pictures of the receipt and odometer
4) allows importing the data and the pictures for the receipt and odometer (PRO version)
5) emails the back-up (CSV file and images) using a Google email account set by the user (PRO version)
6) prevents the user to enter erroneous data by asking for the capacity of the fuel tank
7) it automatically increments the odometer
8) it does not allow adding past transactions (because GPS data is essential)
9) the user can review past fuel records by browsing the information she entered manually as well as the map location of the fueling and the images of the odometer and receipt
