Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GENIUSlink on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Super clear. It's the only way I can I can use a phone. To answer a phone without this app, I don't understand what is said.

When new was good. Newer modles out now it drops off, wont reconnect. Now have FM-Receiver as option. I never did FM. When i try to re-establish Fm comes up. Transmitter drops out and FM comes up again. Then Streaming audio.. Audio is not an option. Called ME lady said she no longer has support for older models. Great way to force customers to buy newer equiptment. Not happy. Ev

I love the app as I can answer my phone easily! But what I don't like is how all of the sudden while talking to someone or when on the phone it shuts off/on my hearing aid! Prevents me from hearing the consevation! Fix this annoying problem please!

I do sometimes have issues getting it to link to Bluetooth wish it had a bit longer range its about 35 feet 70 or more would be great

Can't load Speech Navigator. When the app is opened the Navigator is not present.

The GENIUSlink App is compatible with Miracle-Ear GENIUS 2.0 and GENIUS Hearing Aids; ME5400/5300, ME4400/4300, ME3400/3300, and ME2400 Products with wireless technology. This app will provide all the functions when used with a GENIUSlink and a bilateral fitting.

Device compatibility: the GENIUSlink App is compatible with any Android device running Android 2.3 or higher. We recommend using a Smartphone device rather than a tablet device for a preferred user interaction.

Hearing aid compatibility: The app is only compatible with the latest generation of Miracle-Ear Hearing Aids; ME5400/5300 (ME-1), ME4400/4300 (ME-2), ME3400/3300 (ME-3) and ME2400 (ME-4).

The GENIUSlink App allows you to adjust the hearing aids with the following functions if configured by your hearing care professional:
- Volume
- Listening situations
- External audio sources
- TrebleControl
- Tinnitus Volume
- Speech Navigator settings
- Connection status information
- Battery status information

The GENIUSlink is a discreet and simple-to-use audio streamer that wirelessly connects your GENIUS hearing aids with your environment. The Miracle-Ear GENIUSlink App allows you to control your GENIUSlink & hearing aids with all of your favorite audio sources directly from your mobile phone. Whether you are watching TV, listening to your favorite song or talking on your Bluetooth phone – control is in the palm of your hands.

Change listening programs: With intuitive buttons, it is simple to change your listening programs.

Volume Control: You can increase and decrease the volume of your hearing aids with a simple touch on the screen, as with the discretion of texting.

Mute: You can quickly mute your hearing aids with one touch of the app screen.

Battery Status: Check the battery status of your GENIUS 2.0 hearing instruments.

Bass & Treble: Adjust the TrebleControl to fine tune the sound quality of your hearing aids.

Speech Navigator: Adjust the span and direction of the microphones on GENIUS and GENIUS 2.0 technology only (ME5400/5300, ME4400/4300). Speech Navigator is available in standalone mode and when in-use with GENIUSlink.

Tinnitus Control: Easily adjust the volume on your tinnitus program if set by your Hearing Care Specialist.

Intended use: The GENIUScontrol App is intended to control Miracle-Ear hearing instruments by a patient within parameters set by the Hearing Care Specialist.

Discretion: The app acts as a remote control within your Android device and looks as though you are sending a text message from your phone.

User-friendly: simple to use and easily identify buttons.

Display: the screen of your Android device becomes the visual display of the GENIUSlink. You can easily adjust your hearing aids and check status information.

Note: If GENIUSlink is not present, basic features can be controlled with acoustic signals.

Control signals: This app generates short control signals which may be audible. To ensure correct operation for safety reasons:
1. While using the App do not hold the loudspeaker of this device to your ears or the ears of others
2. Do not use the device with headphones, headsets or other audio playback devices.
