GPS is broken in the tablet used with the Smart +. Unfortunately, the app requires this for a Bluetooth connection, as well as enabling Google Location Services. This is going to drain the tablet's battery rapidly with GPS enabled. Why is Location a requirement for utilization of a remote shutter trigger by touch screen press or sound? Something connected by Bluetooth. Debating if I should just return the unit.

This app has seen fantastic developer support with cosmetic and feature upgrades over time. The developer is also extremely responsive to bug reports. For a product like the MIOPS Smart the app makes or breaks the experience, and instead of letting it languish MIOPS has really delivered.

The device itself works great, app is subpar at best. Both the app and device are up to date, but the app will only trigger shutter release on press/hold and press/lock. Prompting from the device itself works without issue. It's pulling the settings from the app, and not disconnecting so that's the the issue. Have uninstalled and reinstalled as well, no change.

The quality of the holder of the water drop kit is very bad. After talking to Miops, got 50% on the new version. They FORGOT to put the shipping cost and DHL want almost the same amount as I paid for the product. The product is stuck in customs for now... Not to mention that they gave me no option to choose with who to ship. No reaction from Miops so far.
