Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Tog-Along FREE on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

The buttons on the right hand side of the map are multi-functional. From top to bottom they are:

Places:
Tap - Show/hide your places on a Google Map.
Hold - Show preferences

Map:
Tap - Choose map style: normal, satellite, terrain, hybrid.
Hold - Show/hide live traffic

View:
Tap - Quick look-up address, postcode etc
Hold - Show/hide Street view area of map (where available). Move map or tap right / left to reposition view

Directions:
Tap - Get distance and direction from your current location to location at centre of screen
Hold - Navigate from your current location to location at centre of screen

Search:
Tap - Post code search and locate
Hold - Search for places of interest and create places entry in menu

Weather:
Tap - Places a weather icon on the map with details (tap the icon)
Hold - Menu shows a list of weather icons and data. Tap a menu item to position the map over that area

To remove individually, hold and drag the weather icon

Locate:
Tap - Centre the map to your current location
Hold - Lock the map to your moving location


A selection of sample POIs are included for useful places in UK

Import/Export POI files (.kml or .csv) from your Mac or Windows PC using iTunes
