Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Emergency_Aviation_GPS on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Looks like a good app with way point navigation for someone who does not want a moving map display. But, I could not get it to open on any of my devices here in the US. It has not been updated in over 2 years. One star not because I hated it but because it does not work.

About this app

Runs on 10" Tablets only.

Runs on 1280x742min. screen resolution 10-inch Tablets. Android 3.0min., API level 13min. (Honeycomb).

This Flight Navigation GPS application is a complete mean of navigation for light and ultra light aircraft.It displays :
- True Heading (GPS) with a Directional Compass.
- Ground Speed (GPS) with a sliding indicator.
- Altitude (GPS) with a sliding indicator. (Caution, GPS altitude is unreliable)
- A Chronograph.
- Goto function (Heading + Distance) associated with the data base, with an Index on the Directional Compass.
- An initial database including 1420 airports in 40 countries is provided with the app. You can easily Add/Update/Delete data.
- A MOB function (Return to an overflown point , Heading + Distance) with an Index on the Directional Compass.
A MOB point is considered as a waypoint. You can easily name each waypoint.

Devices equipped with a Pressure Sensor display a reliable Altitude and you can adjust the Altimeter Setting.

The Manual is included in the App.

Like any GPS application, you have to exercise extreme caution since the original data base could not be checked. (File coordinates, altitude,etc.)
It's your OWN RESPONSIBILITY to check that data is valid !

The initial data base contains most airports (1420 airports) of about 40 countries and the folder it automatically created.
