It is not just there yet. The technology behind in this app, is quite not ready to give the blind community, it's true, Supersense! The app at the time of this writing, is barely, usable. I have to update this review because for the past four months or so, each and every time that I tried to open the app, it would only give me, no response, except for some error messages, application freezes, and unwanted reboots! And for these reasons, I have to uninstall.

The free version is really cool. You really just have to learn how to place the camera in the right places. I use this app for work. My hand does get tired after a while though. I use it to read text on my screen that I cannot use my screen reader for. For me, if it could just start reading automatically when I open the app that would be great. Also, if the app could tell you when you're too far or too close to what you're trying to read that would be very helpful.

This app is awesome I worked really hard trying to make some sort of reading device for my Mother whom has been about 85% blind in both eyes for about the last 5 years, So she could "read" (listen) - to the mail she has been recieving, labels on food, Her medication bottles, bieng visaully impaired she cant see much so having a cellphone application was nearly impossible due to the fact there is so many things To click on she would just shun it allways saying "i cant figure it out" Just about every single device on the market (For the blind) can cost thousands of dollars $$$... I have spent countless hours looking through a bunch of different apps and this one is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!! So easy to use & not only does this app read everything perfectly It can also guide you through your home, it even reconizes everything in your place and remembers where the steps, doors, cabnits you name it and will tell you where things are that it has seen, I designed a box to hold the phone to where she can set her paperwork in front of it and in a matter of secounds this app reads for her. Our family thanks the developers who made this application YOU FOLKS ROCK!!! we would 100% recomend this For Anyone that is need of help .....

Wow! Contented! This is a great app to me. Though am visual impaired, I am able to explore my immediate environment hence learning more. Please developer be highly motivated and let the app use a UK male voice for me to listen and understand, increase app sensitivity to holes, hot materials, color descriptions etc

Well it reads well other than the fact that I was kicked out of it two or three times and the dog if it has if it had something in there where it tells you whether you're reading it sideways or upside down that'll be that that'll be really great too and the options I don't let it reads really well and it's worth paying for optional supercenter

About this app

Supersense is the smartest assistive app that helps blind and visually impaired users to read, find objects, and explore places independently. It provides a set of digital eyes to make the physical world more accessible for the blind and low vision community.

Supersense uses the power of AI to not only describe things but actually solve problems for blind and visually impaired users. Users can independently:
- Read texts, documents and handwriting quickly using our unique auto camera guidance system
- Locate specific objects such as a chair, door, trashcan, or person around by scanning the environment with the camera
- Explore new and unfamiliar environments and hear about the objects that are around
- Read texts on photos and PDFs from other apps. Simply share the files to Supersense and it will read it for you in seconds.

Every single feature works without an internet connection so that they can be used in any situation.

The app has full TalkBack accessibility support and is available in multiple languages.

Supersense is developed by Mediate, an MIT-spinoff AI start-up based in Boston. Mediate develops innovative computer vision systems with the support of the National Science Foundation and the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
