How come when I move out of an app like X or Fb or IG this app just freezes? Its no longer a live wallpaper?

Really nice wallpaper app! I really want to give it 5 stars! But...... After I paid to be able to customize everything to my liking, and did so once, I can't customise anything anymore. Either everything is greyed out, like in the free version, or I can't access the menu at all. I tried buying again but the app tells me that I already paid, and everything is still greyed out. I've mailed the developer twice, but have yet to receive a reply. Help me and I'll update to 5 stars.
