It's so incredibly frustrating to buy a $400 device and then have one of its major selling points not work. This app is ridiculously under-featured (UI is clunky at best, no graphs, historical data, etc.), and it refuses to stay connected to the smoker. Usually, I have to turn the smoker off and start the syncing process from scratch. Really?!?! Figure out Bluetooth communication, Masterbuilt!!! I'm going to just use the display on the smoker and uninstall this garbage app.

Love the smoker, but constantly won't connect to my phone. I have a new phone, good wifi and can't use the app sitting in my living room 10 ft away. Very disappointing, spend this much money on a smoker and one of the selling points is I could monitor and control the smoker from my phone. Doesn't work most of the time. I am considering returning the smoker and going with a different brand. Yes over the app, thats how annoying it is.

Garage app. Every time you put your phone to sleep it loses connection to the grill. It's very annoying. I'm sure an update from Masterbuilt could fix this. What it does work though it works fine.

It's a solid app, but yea its using Bluetooth, not wifi. That's just not as solid of a connection so when you walk out of range you disconnect. That's what I would expect out of Bluetooth. However their could be some sort of "offline sync" feature to at least keep the timers going when you're disconnected. I tend to get a pretty far range in my house, even upstairs.

The most important feature should be monitoring the probe temperature. P1 shows up on 2nd page but blank.. Without this, app not useful.

Cannot even log in nor create another account to use it. Keeps telling me my email is invalid. After reading all the reviews..... I cannot find out for myself if the app actually works for me. As of 04/11/21 I still cannot log in not create a new account....even with the current "update". Worthless. Will be returning to store under my warranty.
