Dear citizens and visitors of Barcelona and cities of Catalonia. Here you have the app BSB-Barcelona without Barriers, one of the operating apps of the Open Beacons Network Barcelona XOBB. It is an open digital infrastructure project that, through the installation and activation of beacons, has as main objective to facilitate access to information and location of different urban elements of the cities, like information and offers of the commerces of the city, urban elements of all kinds, monuments, tourist information points, etc. Where beacons and beacons are installed and working.
This project has been designed to facilitate communicative accessibility for people with disabilities or visual or sensorial functional diversity, to help promote and modernize small and medium-sized businesses and for computer developers in need of this kind of public digital infrastructures, democratizing access to information through the introduction of advanced low-cost technologies.
This project has been promoted from the beginning through a collaborative network between the Eix Comercial de Creu Coberta - Sants, XOBBCoopertiva and the Barcelona City Council, and we hope to be able to add to the collaboration network more shops, museums and tourist points of interest. Everything will depend on the territorial extension of the Open Beacons Network Barcelona.
