This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Maine EMS on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

App locks up and cannot open pages. Was working before last update.

Will not work after being downloaded. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still wont work. Got message saying "There was a problem loading the app's configuration data. See the Output Console in your developement tool. (Eclipse, Android Studio, etc)(2). Then I just get a blank black screen I just did as you said and I am still getting the same error message followed by blank black screen

App opens but if you click on a section it demands a helper app which then crashes saying the file is corrupt and cannot be opened. This occurs if you click for Adobe to open the doc or for kindle to do it. So far it looks like a better move just to open straight from kindle as a pdf.

Update as of 10:45 Well the app opens at least finally. Still no functionality with the map or the contacts tab. Sloppy cut and paste from the current protocol pdf and even has some pages left from an older protocol version. Do your job!

*ANDROID USERS* 1. Go to Settings —> Maine EMS —> Clear Cache 2. Settings —> Maine EMS —> Uninstall App (press "Ok" if it asks to erase all data) 3. Go to Google Play to get latest app version (currently 2019.22), install from here

Updated for the new protocol rollout... now it doesn't work. Update as of 12/01 11:15 "There was a problem loading the app's configuration"

Maine Emergency Medical Services - Prehospital Treatment Protocols - December 1, 2021 update.

These protocols are issued by the Medical Direction and Practice Board and govern the practice of EMS licensees by the authority of 32 MRSA § 86.2-A. All Maine emergency physicians and the regional EMS programs were invited to participate in the review and adoption of these protocols through their MEMS Regional Councils.

The Regional Medical Directors agree that when treatments are adopted in their regions, they will be consistent with these protocols.

The protocols will be continually reviewed.
